The situation
OEM delivery expands the product boundary. Technical decisions have to work across organizations with different roadmaps, quality systems, commercial constraints and release processes.
In connected marine products, environmental conditions, hardware integration, certification, installation and long service lives add constraints that purely digital products do not carry.

My responsibility
Provide executive and technical leadership across global connected-product and OEM delivery in the Brunswick ecosystem, including work involving Mercury Marine and Navico.
Communicate across boards, owners, executives, customers, engineering teams and OEM partners while keeping technical dependencies and delivery risk visible.

The operating complexity
- Multiple companies contribute to one customer experience without sharing one reporting line.
- Hardware, firmware, cloud and mobile releases must align with industrialization and partner programs.
- Certification, quality and field support have to survive regional and product-line variation.
- Decisions made early can remain embedded in products and partner integrations for years.

Long-lived programs require technical candor, predictable decision-making and respect for each organization’s constraints.
